Semantic Error - Chapter 8.12
He casually looked to his right when he thought quite a lot of time had passed. With his elbows on the desk, Sangwoo was not looking at the major subject textbooks, but at Jaeyoung’s monitor instead.
A straight, long neck drew his attention. The long-sleeved black t-shirt was slightly stretched out around the neck. In the gap between the shirt and his body, a mole on the white skin stood out. His one wish would be to take off those useless clothes and sink his teeth into his shoulders. Those were thoughts he could only think to himself.
‘Ah… It’s dangerous.’
After Jaeyoung imagined Sangwoo’s bare shoulders with the red marks he’d left on them, he forced himself to look at the monitor. If he didn’t look away, it would be as if he were deliberately booking an appearance on the following day’s news.
[Breaking news] A hoobae bitten in the shoulder by his college sunbae now in court
‘It was really painful. I’ve taken the rabies test, but the results haven’t been released yet, and I have no intention of dropping the charges. I hope he gets a heavy sentence.’
He seemed to be hearing the voices from the interview in his head. Sangwoo turned his head and made eye contact when the mouse cursor had stopped moving for a long time. Because he felt pricked by his conscience, Jaeyoung was the first to speak.
“What are you looking at?”
“I was thinking that I found a good designer.”
“…”
“Your attitude in life is the worst, but… I can’t complain in terms of your skills,” Sangwoo said with a casual expression.
Sometimes he struck like this. Even though it was something he usually heard, it sounded different since he was the one saying it.
So, the speed of the work increased. Was the difference due to a clean desk, a quiet environment, fresh air, and a person who was studying sitting next to him? Even though he was just working as usual, Jaeyoung felt as if he had gone on a picnic.
On the first day, Sangwoo stayed calm and left exactly after an hour. He couldn’t hold on to him since he had suddenly gone away.
However, from the second day on, he appeared in a devilish mode, as if he were determined. After grabbing dinner first, he brought his laptop, organized the resources Jaeyoung had made, and began to put them in the framework he had built. Jaeyoung took a bit of a break as he was continuing with the map after finishing the characters, weapons, and the effect, but was punished whenever he did.
‘If you want to work with me, you have to keep up with the pace.’
‘It’s no different from being a pro. Can you do it with a mindset like that?’
‘Don’t shake your legs.’
‘Get up and sit down properly.’
‘You even yawn after seeing the amount of work done?’
‘I gave you time to think, didn’t I? Why didn’t you tell me that you wouldn’t be doing it back then?’
Except for Jaeyoung’s designing skills, Sangwoo didn’t seem to like anything else. After having tolerated it for three days, Jaeyoung reached the point of snorting to whatever he heard.
‘Of course, Boss Chu. I have to do it exactly. As. You. Wish.’
‘Oh Lord, who am I to talk back, being a mere servant.‘
‘I don’t even need to hold a knife for me to be no different than a thug to you.’
‘Let’s see, the number of the Ministry of Labor…’
‘If this tower is broken tomorrow, one will think that it’s because of you.’
‘So this is the Aoji coal mine!’
A clash was inevitable. It was because there was too much work, and Sangwoo wanted to proceed according to the schedule. He didn’t seem to believe it even if he said he would do it all at once. If they started arguing, Yuna would get annoyed and put her headphones on. However, Jaeyoung didn’t regret bringing Sangwoo to the studio. He was actually delighted, even if he grumbled on the surface.
“I’ll just take a 15-minute break.”
Jaeyoung stretched as if he were throwing a computer mouse. It was Monday when he met Sangwoo again after the weekend.
There had been a basketball game and a drinking party during the weekend. After the basketball game, he was cursed at after saying he was too busy to go to the drinking party, and then they teased that he was Cinderella, because he left this party early. Even after he corrected all the parts that had been pointed out and completed five great maps, Chu Sangwoo looked unhappy when he merely said he would take a 15-minute break.
“Ok.”
After the deal, he waited exactly 15 minutes and was then told to work on it again. As soon as Jaeyoung got permission, he put Yuna’s clothes previously piled up on a cot, onto the floor on the other side of the studio and then lay down.
Sangwoo was typing while sitting with perfect posture and looking at a monitor filled with letters. He had now gotten rather used to him sitting in the studio late into the evening.
