My Cell Prison - Chapter 56
“What b*llsh*t test, Knights’ Code or g*dd*mn Mr. Black and White… No, wait! Mr. Black and White has been very good to me, so I shouldn’t cuss him out, hic! Nobody looked out for yours truly, yet here I am, a Knight in every right, even becoming a tutor here in the Department of Mysticism.”
Her true personality was revealed.
Pasha Bhatt was a completely different person after drinking… And even Han Dong had been fooled.
Furthermore, the bottle of white wine that she pulled out was very problematic, as he could even taste the strong alcoholic burn that came from hard liquor from it.
Han Dong suspected that the bottle of white wine in Pasha’s possession was over 50 proof, and could really be used for sterilization… Imbibing it straight also gave him the sensation that it was trying to kill him.
Pasha’s cheeks were flushed as she put her arm directly over Han Dong, pulling him close so their cheeks were almost next to each other.
“Why aren’t you drinking? This is my homebrew! Not drinking it would be disrespecting me… A level of incivility to me, the genius tutor of Plague Studies.”
It had already been mentioned that Pasha possessed a devilish body that could pass off for a model. Han Dong had never experienced being in such close proximity with women around his own age in his previous life… Even though Han Dong’s frail body was of sub-par quality, it was still capable of having the appropriate bodily response.
“Ahem… Ma’am. I might end up killing myself immediately if I were to partake in such a stiff drink, given my physical constitution.”
“Ah? Are you really that weak? Let me check.”
Saying this, Han Dong was completely incapable of putting up any sort of resistance against Pasha as she used her superhuman strength and took Han Dong’s top off, exposing his pitted and jaundiced skin, with the outlines of his rib cage visible to the naked eye.
As she continued to examine the state of Han Dong’s constitution, her delicate palms just about fried his brains whenever she moved them back and forth over his body, especially when her fingernails brushed past.
“Hic- Isn’t your body a little bit too inferior? You might really die if you take a drink… How boring, the first apprentice that I got would actually be incapable of accompanying me to drink.”
After this bout of intimate touching, even Han Dong, a man over 30 years of age, could not help but feel his cheeks blush hard.
“But… Even though your body is substandard, you’ve got strength. Unlike me back in the day…”
After having too much to drink, and adding the fact that she was all alone for extended periods of time in the Old Sewers just researching in her field, loneliness was to be expected.
Han Dong was her first apprentice and given how unique Han Dong’s test had been caused the woman to dredge up her own past. Under the influence of alcohol, Pasha began unloading some things that had been buried deep in her heart.
She let go of Han Dong’s shoulder, lifted the bottle of wine, and walked back to the front of her desk.
Pasha’s body temperature rose after drinking alcohol, and Pasha took out a pair of scissors to alter her skirt shorter, so she was able to prop her pale and slender legs up against the desk.
However, this near perfect ‘masterpiece’ had a very small yet visible flaw… Han Dong noted an indelible scar on instructor Pasha’s ankles.
Pasha continued to drink even as she started to talk about her past.
“Back in the day, the treatment I got was far from the premium care that you’ve gotten thus far. Having ‘failed’ my test, I only managed to remain because the Department of Mysticism had a severe shortage of manpower… Haha! There was no tutor out there that was willing to take on a useless trainee like me.”
Han Dong thought back to his test experience before and realized that the interference designed into the test must have been based on Pasha’s original test.
Han Dong curiously asked, “Instructor Pasha, you should have initially been skilled with Divination, right? With regard to Divination, it should also be considered to be an important part of the Department of Mysticism, able to predetermine and gain insight into the enemy’s position… Did you give that up because no one was willing to mentor you?”
Pasha had a look of indifference as she replied, “That’s right. Divination required a huge amount of resources to build a solid foundation, with plenty of books to study as well as guidance from a tutor versed in Divination… But a trash trainee like me simply didn’t have any way of deepening my understanding toward Divination, not to mention the lack of any resources coming my way. If I persisted in my original intentions, I would have long since got myself killed in the Space of Destiny. My best option was to give up on studying in the Academy and head to the Commoner’s District and become a security officer, or if I have better luck, I might end up with a job in the church or the guild. It wasn’t easy for me to crawl out of that place, so I have no intention of ever going back there. The only thing I could do was to choose a different path… And I chose the most difficult and dangerous Plague Studies. There were very few people who ventured into the Old Sewers back then, with only some professors that would collect samples here, and I happen to seize onto the opportunity. Thinking back now, it sure wasn’t easy for me to like till now. Heh… And it’s all thanks to alcohol.”
With that, Pasha began guzzling the wine that she had in hand…
When talking about her past, unforgettable images after unforgettable images flashed in her mind.
A lack of protective wear would lead to fungal infection, and the most severe instance was when she had some small umbrella shaped fungi growing on the surface of her skin.
She also had the experience of being infected by the plague and had it not been the specialized treatment that the Department of Mysticism had for the plague, she might have long been dead.
As these memories of hers were appearing in her mind, Pasha began having a nosebleed that was tainted with bacteria that she quickly wiped off with some tissues. She was starting to feel a little unwell, as she turned toward Han Dong in her dizziness, “Go find a book from the bookcase that is relevant to Plague Studies and do some self-study… I’m not feeling too good.”
With that, Instructor Pasha pushed open the metal door to the lounge and swayed her way in.
Han Dong was initially very worried about his Lead Tutor… But how was he to know that the moment Pasha stepped into the room, she planted herself into a soft and large bed right away.
At the same time, a series of snoring sounds that seemed disproportionately loud considering the source could be heard.
She fell asleep instantly…
Han Dong was a little helpless as well, now that he was stuck with such an instructor.
They had previously mentioned how important it was for them to maximize the use of their time and study, yet his tutor had ended up drinking too much and fell asleep.
Han Dong quietly crept into the lounge and tucked Pasha in and took the tissue that she had used to wipe her nosebleed.
Even if he did not have a microscope, he could still use his naked eye and see the bacteria that was mixed in her blood.
“If she was an average human, she would’ve been dead long ago, judging the amount of bacteria content in her blood. Could the bacteria have already integrated itself inside Instructor Pasha’s body? Is that the end result when one specializes in Plague Studies?”
This situation only got Han Dong all the more curious toward Plague Studies.
Retreating from the lounge and taking out a book related to Plague Studies from the bookcase, Han Dong began studying the material by himself.
Some of the ideas covered in the book regarding the study of the plague were different, combining some supernatural things to the basic knowledge that Han Dong already knew.
Just from the first page, the book began talking about the information that was related to the control of the plague, and Han Dong even picked up a very important concept in the first page.
It was a concept about the mass of energy in his mind, something that he had no idea of its use that existed due to his Fate point allocation.
The term the book used was ‘Seed’.
For a time, Han Dong was completely engrossed in the book titled: ‘Plague Studies: The complete edition’, published by the National Royal Knights’ Academy and penned by the former director that came from the Department of Mysticism.
Han Dong had quite the unique accomplishments when it came to reading scientific documents of this level.
