“Tell me your conditions,” Duan Renli said calmly as a weird expression flashed across his face.
“A hundred kilograms of refined Astral Yin Stone,” Han Li replied without any hesitation, a smile on his lips.
The moment he spoke, the entire valley instantly sunk into an extremely quiet and weird atmosphere.
“You want Astral Yin Stone and a hundred kilograms of them?”
“You ruined many of our Sect’s great array formations and exclusive objects. You even made a complete mess of our Sect’s restricted area, yet you’re still so daring as to mention such an excessive request?!”
“You’re simply dreaming!”
After a short silence, before Duan Renli even spoke, the four people behind him shouted angrily at Han Li.
“Daoist is really demanding an exorbitant price. An Astral Yin Stone mineral can barely produce a kilogram of refined Astral Yin Stone. Isn’t it too much of Daoist Han to ask for a hundred kilograms at once?!” Duan Renli’s expression did not change, but his tone was clearly colder.
“I don’t think so. With such a big Sect like Sky Ghost Sect, it would be impossible to not have so much Astral Yin Stone saved.” Han Li chuckled softly.
“It seems like you’ve decided on this. Since you’re not willing to leave, you may stay here forever!” Duan Renli’s expression distorted, as if he had been completely angered by Han Li’s attitude.
The moment he finished speaking, a large bloody glow surrounded him and cast everything around him in a red light. He also exuded a nearly imaginary and almost stagnant spiritual pressure. He opened his mouth and spat out a rod of mini, long bloody red ancient streamers.
The streamers twirled around once before morphing into a rod of giant streamers that were a lot larger. Devilish auras circled around it while an emblem of a vicious ghost head with two horns was activated. It had a green face, sharp fangs and its eyes remained closed.
As his chanting grew faster, the bloody glow around the giant streamers twirled even faster, creating currents of wind with a metallic smell. The vicious ghost head suddenly opened its mouth wide and an extremely thick bloody ray shot towards Han Li.
The sun had yet to set, but a disgusting metallic smell instantly filled the entire valley. The temperature around the valley also dropped drastically.
Seeing this, Han Li’s figure in the air merely shook a little before he morphed into a shadow and the bloody red glow instantly missed its target.
In the next moment, there was a vortex behind Duan Renli and Han Li appeared out of nowhere. A fist covered with pale golden scales punched out, creating countless shadow fists, as if he had punched out at least a hundred punches at the same time.
At that moment, there was a loud whistle!
Under an alarming strength exuded from the countless and quick punches, the void everywhere it passed by seemed to break into pieces.
However, in response Duan Renli merely stretched a finger out and pointed towards the bloody red giant streamer in a seemingly slow manner.
The streamer instantly twirled in the other direction with lightning speed and a large amount of bloody red mist sprayed out from the streamer. It slowly spread out before it morphed into a ball of bloody cloud with a circumference of hundred feet. It surrounded him completely and his figure was barely visible.
The golden punching shadows seemed to rain on the bloody cloud, as if it were hitting a ball of cotton. The great strength the punches held actually disappeared like a clay oxen entering the sea. It was extremely weird as every punch seemed to cause the bloody cloud to grow larger by several centimeters.
Han Li furrowed his eyebrows a little, before he retracted his hand without another thought. His body instantly morphed into a shadow and he shot backwards.
The bloody cloud around him instantly boiled and thrashed violently like a scary wave, spreading quickly into the two sides before their centers formed separate bloody tornadoes. With just a slight twirl, rings and rings of air waves were sucked towards the tornado, making the void around them distort.
A sharp ring surfaced and Han Li merely felt the air around him tighten, before a crazy strength surged from all over, making the speed he was backing off slow down a little.
Right at this moment, the vicious, giant ghost with a bloody red skin suddenly opened its eyes. Two immensely powerful red lights surged from within. It was so dazzling that people could not look at it directly!
Han Li merely felt his vision blurring and everything around him disappeared. He suddenly appeared in the middle of a bloody red space.
Above him was a bloody red sky, while under him was a borderless bloody red sea. A thin layer of bloody red mist hovered over the sea as a slightly sweet smell lingered in the air.
“Treasure of Breaking Sky!” Shock appeared in Han Li’s eyes.
“You’ve seen quite a bit. That’s right, this Bloody Red Sky Ghost is originally a Treasure of Breaking Sky. It’s also our Sect’s most secret and precious treasure. Since you’ll be buried here, you should feel honoured.” The black-robed Duan Renli was standing in the air not too far away, with his hands behind his back. His clothes whistled with the wind, while a bloody red mist circled around him.
“Oh, really?” Han Li said indifferently.
The moment he spoke, whistles rang from all around him.
This sound suddenly felt near, then far, before it suddenly surged forth, as if countless ghostly figures were shouting crazily and nonstop.
Han Li’s eyes suddenly closed. In that one second, his consciousness dazed out and a bloodthirsty frustration actually grew within him. It was as if it would only calm down if he immediately rushed over and fought with those ghostly figures.
However, he made a hand seal without any hesitation. Instantly, a refreshing and cooling sensation surged from his dantian and flowed through all of his meridians.
That crazy thought in his mind vanished and the ghostly shouts around him disappeared as well.
Duan Renli could not help but be surprised when he saw Han Li merely tremble once before he returned to normal.
This Confusing Bloody Mist lingering above the bloody sea possessed the resentment of thousands of souls and tens of thousands of ghosts. It was more than enough to enchant a person’s heart, to lure out their deepest desires and murderous intent in the depths of their minds. Even if he had been thrown into it without his guard up, he would be affected as well.
This strength cultivator in front of him was actually not affected at all. Was his mind so strong that it was even stronger than his own?
In that case, the trump card he had originally prepared to instantly kill Han Li with could not be used anymore.
However, in this moment, Han Li’s eyes sparkled slightly as his figure blurred and shot out as he pounced towards the black-robed man.
Duan Renli hummed coldly as he made a hand seal.
Bang!
The bloody sea under him suddenly clashed louder, waves and waves of large bloody waves surged even more and pulled him into the waves as he disappeared from sight.
Seeing this, Han Li paused mid-air. He closed his eyes, letting his strong consciousness out. However, he instantly furrowed his eyebrows slightly.
This space seemed to be seamless and borderless, and the bloody sea under him felt even weirder. With his soul power, he could only see barely a dozen feet into the sea, not to mention trying to locate where Duan Renli was hiding.
He hummed darkly, his eyes sparkling with a blue glow as he used his Ming Qiang spiritual vision.
Instantly, everything within his field of vision in the bloody sea became clearer. However, anything below it was still a complete blur. He had no way of directly looking further down.
Just as he took out a Cloud Crane Grass to consume and gathered a good half of the magic in his body into his eyes, ready to use the familiar spiritual vision once more, something happened!
The surface of the bloody sea about hundreds of feet away suddenly clashed and roiled. Gooey bloody liquid started to converge and quickly formed a giant whirlpool. A low hum could be vaguely heard from within.
Seeing this, Han Li’s body shook without hesitation as he flew up until he was about a hundred feet high. It was only then that he could finally look down and see everything that was happening beneath him.
Loud splashes sounded from the center of the whirlpool. Following that, as the bloody water was sucked in, a gigantic skeleton rose up from within.
This skeleton was at least a hundred feet tall. It was completely red, yet was also crystal-clear, as if it were made of blood-red jade. Countless runes and emblems were carved on it.
On the top of its head that looked more like a small mountain, in the middle of the two curves, there was a dark red Nascent Soul sitting cross-legged with its eyes closed. The Nascent Soul looked really similar to Duan Renli.
Seeing this, Han Li could not help but narrow his eyes a little.
The Nascent Soul suddenly opened its eyes, and then its mouth sprayed out seven balls of blood essence. At the same time, it made a hand seal with all ten fingers as a soft chant came from his lips.
With a few loud bangs, the blood essence morphed into seven balls of bloody mist, before they curled around the Nascent Soul’s limbs and neck like a spiritual snake. With that, the Nascent Soul blew a loud and long whistle. The bloody mist glowed with a monster-like bloody light before morphing into one ball of bloody red light.
Something incredible appeared!
The ball of bloody red light sunk and disappeared into the skeleton’s skull.
Two balls of bloody red light instantly appeared in the two empty eye sockets in the giant skull as all of the runes over the skeleton lit up as well.
Below it, crazy waves still clashed within the bloody red whirlpool. Balls of sticky, blood red light flew out and shone upwards, like a giant spiral-shaped bloody red pillar shooting up into the sky. It swallowed the skeleton from the bottom to the top.
Through the bloody red pillar, one could vaguely see the tall figure inside slowly swell up in size.
When the bloody red pillar finally shrunk like a falling tide, the giant skeleton had disappeared. What replaced it was a scary ghostly figure that was about a hundred feet tall. It had a green face and sharp fangs, a pair of giant curved horns on its head while its eyes shone bright red. Blood-red fur covered it entirely, while its limbs looked one section longer than a normal human’s, with purplish-black bat wings on its back.
The moment it appeared, alarming waves rippled from it, causing even the air near it to tremble in fear.
“Is this the Bright Red Sky Ghost rumored to be from the Nether World? This is interesting!” Han Li muttered as he stared straight at the giant ghostly figure in front of him.
A loud clang sounded!
The Bright Red Sky Ghost lifted an arm and a large patch of bloody red flames surfaced on its palm before it grabbed towards Han Li.
A shadow appeared over Han Li’s head before a giant bloody red ghost claw about the size of a house appeared out of nowhere. It was interlaced with bright bloody red flames, as it grabbed at him.
Before the giant claw arrived, a crazy gust of wind already pressed down on him and caused the bloody sea around him to clash crazily.
Han Li raised his hand and sent a punch out into the void above him.
With a loud bang the bloody red ghost claw instantly broke apart and exploded into small pieces of bloody red lights that sprayed all over.
He also took a few steps back shakily, before he finally stabilized himself. Surprise flashed in his eyes.
The energy the bloody red giant claw held was surprisingly immense. it was slightly above his expectations!
The exploded pieces of bloody red lights did not disappear instantly. Instead, they froze after being sprayed out, before they moved together and recombined. Then, they actually morphed into one bloody red ring before it suddenly constricted around Han Li tightly binding him once more.
Before Han Li could react, the Bright Red Sky Ghost waved a hand and the bloody red ring wrapped around Han Li flew out at an incredible speed and was caught by one of the bloody red claws. Only Han Li’s head was left exposed.
“Let’s see where you can run to now!” The Bright Red Sky Ghost snickered viciously, its other ghost claw moving over to grab Han Li as well. Using both hands it tightened its hold over the Han Li.
Han Li only felt an overwhelming force being placed on him and all of his bones began to crack. Even if his body was extremely strong, this was still slightly difficult for him to bear.
