A Random System Every Day - Chapter 57
Shi Jiayi took a deep breath.
‘Suppress it! You must suppress it! Do not get mad! The more overboard he gets, the worse he’ll get it later.’
“I think so, too, high heels.”
Shi Jiayi then walked towards the kitchen and said, “You haven’t eaten, right? I’m making dinner. Since you’re our guest, please, sit and relax. Huo Shui, would you come and help me.”
“Coming.”
Huo Shui hopped to the kitchen.
Ye Tianyi saw her face while the other was cooking. They were cooking for him. Why did Huo Shui look particularly happy? Obviously, there was going to be ‘poison’ in his dinner. Since they liked to play, he would play with them.
This meal was just the beginning of the trick.
Ye Tianyi was watching TV in the living room. Very soon, a delicious aroma drifted to the living room. Shi Jiayi and Huo Shui brought four dishes and a bowl of soup to the table.
“Come, let’s eat. Ye Tianyi, please go and wash your hands before the meal,” Shi Jiayi shouted at Ye Tianyi.
“Oh, coming.”
Ye Tianyi went to the restroom.
The two watched him walk away.
“Everything settled?”
“Of course. I’ve put the itchy power in the pipes. It will take effect in half an hour. He will itch all night and wish he was dead. Then, we’ll make him call us ‘father’ before giving him the antidote.” Huo Shui looked sly.
Ye Tianyi turned the tap and hesitated as he watched the water flow.
‘No, no, no. Do I do as I’m told?’ He could sense that they wanted to trick him. Both of them were smart. Washing one’s hands before a meal was as normal as can be, but it was always things like this that one missed! It made it easy to play tricks on people. Ye Tianyi believed there was probably something wrong with the water.
“Hey, what about you two?” Ye Tianyi asked, trying to test them.
“We’ve already washed them.”
“Oh.”
Ye Tianyi washed his hands. He was sure that they were going to trick him. Plus, Huo Shui was quite the joker.
What could be wrong with the water? Was there something bad in it? All Ye Tianyi could think of was poison, but he had the nine-colored exotic fruit so he would be immune to poisons. With that thought, Ye Tianyi washed his hands without fear.
They heard the water running and smiled. Ye Tianyi left the restroom while shaking off his hands.
“Which one is the hand towel?”
“Just wipe it with your shirt,” Shi Jiayi said.
“Alright.”
Two hand towels were hanging on the wall. Ye Tianyi did not know which was whose. He washed both the towels in the water, wrung them dry, and put them back. Trick him? Haha.
Shi Jiayi was a great cook. The dishes looked delicious.
“Here you go, your bowl of rice.”
Shi Jiayi passed a bowl of rice to Ye Tianyi.
They had put laxatives in his rice. He would definitely have to call them ‘father’.
Ye Tianyi had his guard up. He tried a mouthful and it did not seem to have a problem. Since he was immune to all poisons, he was not worried at all.
“Huo Shui.”
Shi Jiayi passed a bowl of rice to Huo Shui and took another one for herself.
“Ding… Use the dream come true card, Duration: three hours.”
That’s right. Ye Tianyi did not know when would have been the best time to use this card. Since they wanted to play tricks on him, let them have a taste of his power. This card could only take care of small matters anyway. There should not be anything to be worried about.
“Miss Shi’s cooking skills are amazing. Just as good as my sister’s,” Ye Tianyi said smiling as he took a bite of the braised pork.
“Don’t forget about the rice,” Shi Jiayi smiled and said.
“Let’s eat.”
Ye Tianyi had a few mouthfuls of rice.
The two exchanged a look.
Hm! We’ll wait for him to ‘bomb the city’ later.
Then, Huo Shui ate a mouthful of rice, too.
Puf—
She spat it out in the next moment.
“What’s this?”
Huo Shui’s face changed.
“What’s wrong?”
Shi Jiayi looked at her with confusion.
“So salty.”
Huo Shui quickly drank some water.
Puf—
She spat out the water, too.
“So salty!” she growled.
It was as if the rice was cooked in saltwater. Even the water tasted like saltwater…
Ye Tianyi looked down and refrained from laughing.
The dream come true card was quite powerful! It made the things they put in their mouths extremely salty, and it had an immediate effect.
“How’s that possible?”
Shi Jiayi tried to eat some of the rice.
Puf—
She spat it out, too.
“Mis Shi, did you use salt water to cook the rice?” Huo Shui asked reluctantly.
“No, I don’t make mistakes like this.”
She drank some water subconsciously.
Puf—
‘What’s this? Why’s it so salty!’ she growled in her heart.
“What are you two doing?”
Ye Tianyi looked at them. He then took the water and drank it, still looking at them.
“Not…not salty?”
Ye Tianyi shook his head, “Not salty.”
“The rice?”
“Delicious.”
The two, “???”
They looked at each other.
What was going on? Water from the same water bottle but Ye Tianyi’s was not salty. Rice from the same pot but Ye Tianyi’s was normal?
What nonsense was this? No, Ye Tianyi must have done something to it!
“Hahaha, don’t eat the rice, then. Have some of the other dishes.”
The two girls put the rice aside and took a piece of braised meat each.
Puf—
They spat it out, almost at the same time.
“Ahhhhh! Why is it so salty!”
Huo Shui was going crazy! Shi Jiayi, too!
Ye Tianyi looked at them, dumbfounded. He then took a piece of meat, chewed it, and said, “What’s the matter with you two? This is delicious.”
They looked at each other.
The level of the saltiness was almost unbearable. It was like eating salt directly. How was he fine? It was too salty for him to be pretending. One would be able to tell from his facial expression, but he was actually enjoying it.
“Miss Shi, what did you do?” Huo Shui asked in grief.
“I’d like to know, too.”
Shi Jiayi felt hopeless. She then asked Ye Tianyi, “Delicious?”
“Really delicious. I don’t understand what’s happening to the two of you.”
Ye Tianyi continued eating.
“Try this.”
Huo Shui then took a piece of vegetable. It was a piece that was in front of Ye Tianyi. Then…
Puf—
“Ahhhhhhh!!”
She stood up and reached for the water again, but…
Puf—
Huo Shui lowered her face with much embarrassment.
“Miss Shi… I won’t eat another grain of salt…for the rest of my life.”
